Having korean BBQ with BC & Family. Hsu Han and Tina just came back from Taiwan.
Tina: Ethan , Uncle Hsu han learned how to count 1,2,3 in chinese. Hsu han count
Hsu Han: I, er, san, shi...
Tina: Do you know how to count in Chinese ?
Ethan: I know how to count when I was a  baby.. LOL

First heartbreak

Ethan getting introduced to a new nanny

Ethan: I'm sad mommy because my Sam Jose ah Yee go away

New nanny gave Ethan a small candy bar that he was holding tightly to. 

Ethan: mom I want to keep this for when my old ah Yee come back. I will share with her. 

Mommy was feeling sad as well. 

Ethan: mommy why are you sad? 

Mom: I am sad because you are sad Ethan 

Ethan: mom I am not sad anymore because my new ah Yee is here. 

He already know how to empathize and console at 3

Day3 : woke up crying all night. This is Thursday morning face before going to school

Ethan says " mom don't take my picture "

Day 4 : Tonight Ethan took the photo frame we made for him with pictures of ah Ye and him. Looked at it for a while and decided to open the trash and dump it. I guess it is his way of coping. We are glad the new nanny is working out great so far.

Reunited and it feels so good

Ethan and Sophie was so excited to see each other again after we spend a week in Portland. They played non stop from the minute we met up at ramen place until 11:30pm. Way passed their bedtime. 

Mom: Alright Ethan and Sophie time for bed . You want to give each other a hug?

Ethan: Mom I want to go back to Portland, in done with Seattle

Glasses vs no glasses

And then when I put my glasses on he goes "you don't look like uncle Hsu Han anymore. Now you look like uncle Brandon."

Dark Monkey

Mom: Ethan please come put on some sunblock 

Ethan: No I don't want to

Auntie Tina: Ethan Sophie does not like boys that are dark. You will look like a dark monkey. 

Ethan: Like uncle Hsu Han ?

Screen Door restaurant with Ee and family

Ee: Last night when I went to bed I could hear jack snoring

Ethan : Ee when daddy is snoring, I told mommy pigs makes those sound . Hahaa

Vacation ! Off to Seattle and Portland

We are visiting the new place and as we are leaving Ethan said I'm thirsty, let's get a drink lets go to 85 city. He meant 85C. #this is 3 train them early

Mustache

Ethan just finished breakfast and his mouth was dirty with chocolate. Ah Ye wanted to wipe his mouth with a napkin. 

Ethan: Running away .. Pu yau ma wo te hu tze. ( don't wipe my mustache) 

Ah Ye: Ni de mama yo Mei yo hu tze? (Does your mommy have any mustache?)

Ethan: Mei yo yin Wei ta Mei yo chiok chiok ( she does not have because she doesn't have A birdie)

Puzzle

Ethan just got a new aquarium 48 piece puzzle two days ago. He claim he can put them together by himself. 

So mommy told him before leaving from work 

Mom: Ethan today can you try to put the puzzle together without ah Yee help. If you can tonight when I come home I will let you open a new dinosaur one. Ah Yee please don't help him

Ethan: Ah Ye no pang wo , mama pu Zhe tau. Mama kan pu tau ( aunts you help me, mama will not know. She cannot see)

Mom: Ethan please bring your new McQueen sandals inside the house.
