Welcome to Ethan's nursery

I decided on a convertible crib that converts into a full bed. Hopefully this will last him until college :)
This beautiful crib was made by Aunt Alice by hand. The precision was just immaculate. She just picked the color without seeing my nursery, and the color scheme just fits perfectly.

We saw these Monkeez and Friends soft toys in Art cafe Hemingway in Kauai when I was pregnant with Ethan. I was inspired by them to create a tree decal with shelfs to display them. The nursing chair rocking and recliner is very comfy and excellent to feed and sleep on, since I am writing this post partum I can say glad I made this purchase.

Lynn and Jack's baby shower

We feel so incredibly blessed to have so many good friends and family around us. Yesterday we were reminded once again with the best baby shower that we could possibly imagine hosted by Pei Sun, Jocelyn and Susan. We feel so grateful to Pei Sun for spending those sleepless nights planning to makes sure every detail was so coordinated from fresh flowers, custom hand made decorations to hosting the event in their home. Thank you Jocelyn and Susan for all the planning of games, making and setting up the decorations, Susan for baking those fantastic macaroons till wee hours in the morning and Jocelyn for the mac&cheese. Thanks to my dad, mom and aunt that helped with the setup and clean up, it would not be possible without your help.

The shower was made even more memorable when all our poker girl friends chipped in and made side dishes that were unique and special to complement the event. Thank you all so much for all the lost of sleep leading up to the party, we are very grateful for the gift of your friendship which we will always treasure. Baby Ethan Wu is a lucky fella to be able to grow up around you and all your children...how FUN!

Since Ethan is not here yet to use it yet, mommy decided that she will display it in Ethan's nursery for everyone to admire. Thanks Aunt Alice for this amazing gift and the knitted blanket and Uncle Sammy, for the lost of attention from Aunt Alice for the past 3 months :) . Ethan will enjoy this for the many years ahead.

OB-Gyn

We decided to go with Julie's recommendation for OB-gyn Dr Ruth Ann Crystal who delivered Lisa. We made the decision because we wanted to have an OB that will deliver the baby instead of a random doctor on rotation. The only drawback seems to be the bad reviews on Yelp that Stanford Hospital is not the greatest place to deliver a baby. I don't really know why since it is probably the best place to be if god forbid there are some complications. First appointment scheduled for Jan 18th. Excited about the first visit but really not looking forward to all the blood work that is expected throughout the whole pregnancy.

Made in Newport with love

Our short vacation to Newport Beach, CA on Dec 9th has become very memorable time for both Jack and I . Without much planning, except to relax and enjoy the company of each other; a little baby was made. I was very pleased that Jack has finally warmed up to the idea of potentially having a family. That is all that I can ask for. For some odd reason, I almost know that something amazing was happening after that night. I started developing some weird symptoms shortly after like vomiting after watching MI4 with the Hui, headaches and breast tenderness. I was suspicious but I kept it to myself.

On Dec 29th, the date of my expected period my suspicions was confirmed after 4 home pregnancy test :).
Jack and I was happy with the news but as Jack puts it CATF = Can't accept the fact that this was really happening. We are well on our way on this 9 month journey together.
